Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya is back at his host club KV Mechelen after the stints at Genk and Anderlecht in his ongoing attachment in Belgium.
After spending his initial days at Mechelen, Ndiraya had travelled to Genk and Anderlecht where he met technical officials and players, prominent among them former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as he learnt more about the trends of the modern game.
Last night, Ndiraya was taken on a 4-hour intensive study of the Mechelen way of preparing for a match by the club’s technical team led by coach Wouter Vrancken.
Coach and consultant Valerie Billen, who together with another consultant Gino Laureyssen organised and facilitated the trip, was also present.
Ndiraya was taken through modules like video analysis where the technical team closely study the perfomance of their immediate opponents while singling out their strengths and weaknesses.
He was also shown how they evaluate the individual opposing players’ personal performance details while factoring in their own players’s data to end up neutralising the opposition.
The other modules he was exposed to were Digital Match Scorecards, Ability Appraisals and Endurance Enhancers, among others.
Dynamos is hoping Ndiraya’s attachment in Belgium will stand them in good stead this coming season as they bid to reclaim the domestic league title that they last won in the 2014 season.
He is expected back home next week.
