In what could be the biggest swoop this off-season, Dynamos FC are in negotiations with Caps Utd speedy winger Phineas Bamusi for a possible deal.
The 29-year old has been a mainstay at Caps over the years and is reported to be eager for a new challenge. Bamusi was one of the players fingered in the strike that paralysed Makepekepe towards the end of last season.
Caps has since released more than 10 players who were part of the industrial action that cost them the title. Management, however had a change of heart on Bamusi and retained him along with several other players for this new season.
But it seems Bamusi may not have forgiven the executive for blaming him in the first place, and is considering a move away from Caps before the season starts.
And arch-rivals Dembare seems to be his next destination in a deal that would certainly please a lot of Dembare fans who have watched Bamusi terrorising their defences over the years.
Unconfirmed reports say Bamusi met a Dembare official last night concerning the move and the talks were set to continue this morning.
Other reports say Caps are willing to release Bamusi to their rivals on condition that Dembare release right-back Emmanuel Jalai to them. It will be an interesting business transaction between the two Harare giants.
