CAPS star Bamusi itching for DeMbare move

In what could be the biggest swoop this off-season, Dynamos FC are in negotiations with Caps Utd speedy winger Phineas Bamusi for a possible deal.

The 29-year old has been a mainstay at Caps over the years and is reported to be eager for a new challenge. Bamusi was one of the players fingered in the strike that paralysed Makepekepe towards the end of last season.

Caps has since released more than 10 players who were part of the industrial action that cost them the title. Management, however had a change of heart on Bamusi and retained him along with several other players for this new season.

But it seems Bamusi may not have forgiven the executive for blaming him in the first place, and is considering a move away from Caps before the season starts.

And arch-rivals Dembare seems to be his next destination in a deal that would certainly please a lot of Dembare fans who have watched Bamusi terrorising their defences over the years.

Unconfirmed reports say Bamusi met a Dembare official last night concerning the move and the talks were set to continue this morning.

Other reports say Caps are willing to release Bamusi to their rivals on condition that Dembare release right-back Emmanuel Jalai to them. It will be an interesting business transaction between the two Harare giants.

Dembare signs David Temwanjira

Dynamos has signed striker David Temwanjira. His contract with ZPC Kariba ended on the 31st December 2019. The nomadic Temwanjira has in the past played for Shabanie, Blue Rangers, Gunners, Chiredzi FC and Chicken Inn.

Temwanjira’s football career began at Ruvheneko Primary in Glen Norah where he played as a centre back before he switched to a striker at Glen Norah High 2.

His brother Mike, a former Warriors player who had various stints in Europe at his peak, greatly influenced David’s football career.

“He (Mike) was the one who bought me my first pair of boots
is always available to give me advice,” said the new Glamour Boy
Temwanjira is married to Diana Ngoshi and the couple is blessed with an 11-month old daughter named Daviana.

DeMbare gears for commercialisation in 2020

Dynamos Secretary-General, Webster Marechera, says Dynamos will this coming season roll out a commercial plan which will see the team make strides towards commercialization.

“We are Dynamos and we have to take a leading role in everything. In as much as we want to win trophies, we also want to make profits,” said Marechera.

“We didn’t do well last year but this time around we hope to regain our place.

“Obviously, as a club, we also need to make money. We need to partner with corporates, we need to embark on some ventures to make sure that the club makes profit.

“But it is a gradual process. We have made a lot in terms of effort to ensure we succeed on both fronts in 2020.”

Dynamos, the biggest and most successful club in Zimbabwe has perrenially operated like a tuckshop with no commercial plan or audited accounts among othet things. The club has failed to purchase a training ground, a bus of its own or a decent office of its own.

The club has failed to live up to its billing through an archaic leadership that often employs stone-age tactics.

This has seen Dembare falling way behind other continental heavyweights like Al-Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs, ASEC Mimosas, Esperance and so on.

It remains to be seen if this latest initiative will come to fruition, or it will die a natural death, like many other initiatives before

PICTURE: Former Herentals midfielder Juan Mutudza joins Dynamos

The enterprising midfielder turns 21 this year. He is seen in this photo being welcomed by Moses Shumba and other officials.

Mutudza haunted Dembare last season when he scored the solitary goal in Herentals victory in the first meeting between the teams at Rufaro.

Mutudza is a favourite of Dembare coach Tonderai Ndiraya as he featured prominently in the Zimbabwe U23 team last year coached by the latter.

Dynamos targets Ngezi Platinum star Keith Murera

Dynamos continue their off-season rebuilding and are targeting out-of-contract Ngezi Platinum star Keith Murera.

If the negotiations sail through, Murera will re-unite with former coach Tonderai Ndiraya as the two had a good working relationship at Ngezi which makes their reunion possible.

Sources close to the goings-on say the player has actually agreed terms with Dynamos and is expected to seal the deal between today and tomorrow.

Dynamos are said to have agreed to his demands. The only sticking point is Ngezi who seem not willing to release one of their most loyal players to a direct rival.

Sources at Baobab said Ngezi delayed to put a better offer on the table for Murera, one of their senior players.

The player was dragging to sign for DeMbare, hoping Ngezi would show their interests.

Murera was interested to extend his Ngezi stay but Ngezi were delaying with the offer.

The rise and rise of Mvula

DeMbare has just announced the signing in of now former Hwange FC player, Tymon Mvula.

Here’s some background on him. Mvula is a product of the Hwange Football Club junior policy. He graduated into the senior team at the beginning of the 2016 season after the retirement of long-serving goalie Timothy Sibanda.

He spent 2016 season competing for the first-team jersey with London Zulu and Future Sibanda. He became regular first choice keeper at Hwange in 2017. He has had several call-ups to the locally-based Zimbabwe Warriors team.

Mvula impressed in the two matches against Dembare last season prompting suggestions that Dembare officials could have decided on bringing him to Harare then.

He joins Dembare at a time when the glamour boys have fired substitute keeper Stephen Chimusoro who went for an off-season match in Messina without the club approval.

First choice keeper Simba Chinani has attracted interest from several foreign clubs and speculation is rife that he may leave Dembare.

The best bet would then be Mvula taking over the number one jersey at Dembare this season.

Jaure speaks on DeMbare return

Partson Jaure on his return to Dembare:

“I am excited to be back at Dynamos. This is my team that I played for since I was in high school all the way up to winning league titles, which is why I am happy to be back. I am looking forward to helping the team get back to the top and make our fans happy in each and every match like the old days.

Tonderai Ndiraya is my coach. We worked together so he obviously influenced the club to approach me and ask me to come help the team reclaim its glory and it was an easy decision for me. I am excited to work with him again.

I want to achieve big things with the team. In Zimbabwe, we have the Chibuku Super Cup and the league so we are going to work hard to win something this season. We want to do it for our supporters and bring them back to the team in their numbers.

What makes me happier is the fact that I do what I love for a living, a privilege which many people do not have. I am also happy with what I have achieved in my career, but football people never get enough. They want to keep winning as long as they play and it’s the same with me, I want to keep winning things for as long as I play football.

I recently helped the Warriors qualify for the CHAN finals set for Cameroon in April. I am looking forward to achieving something there or at least go beyond the group stages”

Jaure is tipped to become the new Dembare captain.
